Intro:
The Oakland A’s totally rocked it last night with a 13-3 win over the LA Angels! It was a night of some serious home run action from Schuemann, Bleday, and Langeliers, but it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. New kid on the block, Jacob Wilson, had to bail early because of an oopsie with his leg.
The Big Hits:
Max Schuemann was the MVP of the night, no doubt. He went 3-for-4 and smacked in four runs. His best moment was that epic three-run homer in the fourth that made the score 6-2 for the A’s. This guy’s been hitting like a champ with a .351 average this month!
And let’s not forget about JJ Bleday and Shea Langeliers! They both hit two-run homers in the same inning! The sixth inning was like a home run party, with the A’s scoring a whopping seven runs.
Jacob’s Rough Start:
Jacob Wilson finally got to play in the big leagues, but the universe had other plans. He tweaked his left hammy and had to sit out. What a bummer for his first game ever!
Wrapping It Up:
Even though we’re bummed about Wilson, the A’s showed everyone they’ve got some serious hitters. Schuemann, Bleday, and Langeliers looked like the Three Musketeers out there. Now we’re all just crossing our fingers for Jacob to get better soon. Let’s keep an eye on these guys as the season goes on!
