Liverpool's Chase of Rayan Cherki: Available Shirt Numbers as £25m Transfer Rumours Emerge
Liverpool's interest in Rayan Cherki is believed to be heating up with reports stating the Reds are increasing efforts to bring the young French talent in through the January transfer window. According to French news outlet RMC Sport, Cherki is a player admired by both Liverpool's hierarchy and manager Jürgen Klopp, with the club reportedly prepared to pay a fee of at least €30 million (£25 million) to secure his services.
Rayan Cherki's Position and Versatility
Cherki has been one of the bright stars at Lyon, able to function as a winger on either flank or in the No.10 role. The talented youngster has been scouted by practically every major club in the land and has now been joined in the race by Liverpool, who want to bring him to Anfield to further beef up their attacking arsenal and give yet another reason to get excited.
For many fans, the question is not only whether he will join Liverpool FC but what shirt number might be his if the transfer goes through.
