Southgate the Underdog: Taking England to Glory
He was the kid with the funny teeth that nobody thought would make it big in football, but here we are, and Gareth Southgate's about to take England to the top. It's been ages since '66, and he's got us all excited again.
Now, I get that some folks aren't his biggest fans. They think he's too nice, not tough enough or something. And sure, the team had a few wobbly moments on the way to the final, but those critics have really gone overboard with their complaining.
These haters have been all over the place during the Euros, acting like they know better than anyone else. But the thing is, they've totally missed the mark on what makes Southgate tick.
What's even crazier is that he's actually a pretty strong guy. Sure, he's polite and all that, but that doesn't mean he's a pushover. It's like they couldn't tell that he's the boss of Harry Kane and the gang. They've just been throwing shade and calling him weak because he's not a screamer on the sidelines.
So yeah, it's okay to have opinions and all, but these trolls have had it in for him, and they're so off base it's not even funny. This guy's a legend in the making, and they can't see it.
